Engineer 3 (Palmdale)
Candidates must utilize a Systems Engineering approach to establish Support Equipment functional and performance requirements and advance through the solution concept of development, hardware design, manufacture and test phases. Applicants must be familiar with Computer Aided Design tools (CATIA preferred) and be experienced with detail and assembly level design. Applicants will be responsible to ensure that Support Equipment requirements are coordinated with Integrated Product Team members, as well as with subcontractors and using customers. Candidates must be eager to learn, self- motivated and possess excellent interpersonal, and communication skills and also be proficient with the Microsoft Office tool suite. Candidates must possess related experience and possess a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or another technical degree.
BS degree in mechanical engineering or another technical degree and 5 years of mechanical engineering/or electrical or another related experience. Must have a current and active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain/maintain special program access. Must be familiar with Computer Aided Design tools i.e CATIA.
Current Program Access. Experience in the design of mechanical and electrical military aircraft subsystems and knowledge in the development of support equipment design solutions.
