Engineer 3- Operations Program Manager (OPM)

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Undersea Systems Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Program Manager to support projects in their Annapolis, Maryland facility.

Ideally the Operations Program Manager will have a technical background in a hardware engineering discipline; electrical/mechanical manufacturing experience; solid organizational skills; an ability to lead program teams to achieve program milestones and delivery objectives; program planning and scheduling skills; solid communication skills; and familiarity with earned value management.

Knowledge of welding, machining and mechanical/electrical assembly is desired but not required. The ideal candidate will have a background in undersea systems and the unique product lines and manufacturing processes that support such systems.

Please note that this is a Professional Band 3 (Engineer 3) job and not a Manager job.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 5 years of experience (3 years with an MS degree)

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Current Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

A technical background in a hardware engineering discipline

Experience in program planning and scheduling

Experience with earned value management.

Experience with Material Requirements Planning

Familiarity with SAP, technical proposal writing, and cost estimating

Knowledge of welding, machining, and mechanical/electrical assembly

A background in undersea systems and the unique product lines and manufacturing processes that support such systems
