Engineer 3 - Engineering/CAD Tools Applications

Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experiencedengineer specializing in the application of 3D modeling related Engineering Tools. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability and experience working in an aircraft (or similar) design environment with extensiveexperienceworking withNX and NX related design applications (could include electrical/mechanical routing or composite design). In addition, the successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to develop process based documentation, standardize design best practices and deliver content to a variety of users. Candidate will also be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. The successful candidate will act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of Engineering Tools andexercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited universityanda minimum of5 years of experienceusing Engineering Design tool applications orMaster's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) disciplinefrom an accredited university with a minimum of3 years' experience of experience using Engineering Design tool applications.
Experience with engineering team leadership.
Active Interim DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA. Experience working with Engineering Tools administration, including subject matter expertise with NX and Teamcenter.
Demonstrated ability in NX Open, Syncrofit, Fibersim, NX mechanical/electrical routing, and surfacing.
Demonstrated ability to prepare build-to packages utilizing 3D modeling software in a Teamcenter managed environment .
