Engineer 3

Project Engineer is to provide engineering support, analysis, and execution support for the development of innovative systems. Focus is on change and technical integration of complex issues as well as how our solutions affect our program costs and schedules.

The selected candidate will assume program/business management and project engineering duties responsibilities for the SSA IPT. Candidate will help manage the operational aspects of ongoing IPT projects, serve as liaison between IPT management, external project management, planning, and business management organizations within the program, assist SSA IPT manager in integrating the project plans, budget, and schedules; prepare bids for new proposal efforts and NTE solicitations

Areas of expertise should include: change integration and management, technical and program review boards leadership, cross IPT technical integration, software development, supporting chief engineers in defect analysis and path forwards, integrated function capabilities, IFC planning, proposal development, management of engineering change proposals, EVM cost schedule, Variance Analysis, Risk /Opportunity assessment and execution and management of change requests. Project Engineering helps ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product needs or actions into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline (STEM) from an ABET accredited university with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience

Engineering experience in one or more of the following specialized skills: project engineering, software engineering (IFC), aerospace engineering, system engineering, system integration

Must already possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with an investigation in the past6 years, and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Software field preferred
Strong technical and project management trouble-shooting skills within the engineering field
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Strong team-building/partnership skills
