We are seeking a well qualified Engineer 2 to support our Palmdale CA site. Selected candidate must utilize a Systems Engineering approach to establish Support Equipment functional and performance requirements and advance through the solution concept of development, hardware design, manufacture and test phases. Applicants must be familiar with Computer Aided Design tools (CATIA preferred) and be experienced with detail and assembly level design. chosen candidate will be responsible to ensure that Support Equipment requirements are coordinated with Integrated Product Team members, as well as with subcontractors and using customers. Selected candidate must be eager to learn, self- motivated and possess excellent interpersonal, and communication skills and also be proficient with the Microsoft Office tool suite. Selected candidate must possess related experience and possess a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another technical degree and at least 2 years of mechanical engineering/or electrical or another engineering experience. Must have a current and active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain/maintain special program access. Must be familiar with Computer Aided Design tools i.e CATIA.
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Ability to apply and/or develop technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
Able to ascend and descend maintenance platforms during test operations.
On occasion access confined work space to support equipment evaluation activities.
Master's degree. Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and Support Equipment. Familiar with TeamCenter release process tool.
