Engineer 2 (Grand Sky)

The candidate's main job for the Global Hawk program will be to influence design for reliability, maintainability, testability, supportability and human factors. As a minimum the candidate must be able to conduct analysis to support the following tasks: reliability based design efforts, trending analysis, supporting Failure Review Boards, perform FRACAS, conduct FMEA and FMECA efforts, Reliability & Maintainability Predictions, Reliability Testing. The candidate must be able to work with various disciplines including Engineering, Field Maintenance Crews, Leadership and Logistics Teams to collect, formalize studies, actions and take initiatives to closure. The candidate must be able to summarize and present analysis results to management for periodic review and customer status meetings to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

The candidate must also be able to support periodic flight test activity and investigation of anomalies on fielded system. Knowledge of multiple vehicle systems such as: airframe, mechanical, electrical, avionics and fluidic subsystems would be a strong plus. Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Office programs) and have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Basic Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in engineering with Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters of Science degree in Engineering or technical field; Current and Active Secret clearance; Knowledge of Navy and/or Air Force aviation maintenance concepts and their impacts; Experience in RAM/BIT/PHM engineering.
