Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an Encryption Management Engineer + 3/4 who will support several projects a large federal agency. These positions will be located in Woodlawn, MD.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Description of Work:

  • Provide appliance hardware and software support to keep both hardware and software running optimally, as-is and to-be, as the produce requirements evolve with use.
  • Provide technical support to tasks that support public key infrastructure (PKI), smartcards, certificates, encryption services, and infrastructure
  • Provide Implementation, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring support
  • Assist with Enterprise Encryption Key setup, configuration, operations, maintenance, while applying best practices for areas including but not limited to:
  • Complying with strict Enterprise Encryption Key requirements, without degradation of application performance.
  • Configuration Enterprise Encryption Key related client software
  • Provide support with resolving reported problems, issues, and incident tickets
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Systems 3:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relative experience or Master's degree and 3 years of relative experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing Enterprise Encryption Key Management(EEKM) support
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing/supporting Hardware Security Module(HSM) functions
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing EEKM and HSM products across enterprise wide IT Security Infrastructure in CSP environments (ie Amazon Web Services)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder.

Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Systems 4:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relative experience or Master's degree and 7 years of relative experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing Enterprise Encryption Key Management(EEKM) support
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing/supporting Hardware Security Module(HSM) functions
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing EEKM and HSM products across enterprise wide IT Security Infrastructure in CSP environments (ie Amazon Web Services)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

  • Proficient knowledge of federal regulations requirements, such as NIST SP-800-130, 800-57, NIST FIPS-140 certification
  • Knowledge of secure protocols for transferring sensitive information across networks, to include use of: SSL FTP, Secure Shell FTP (sFTP), Secure Shell Copy (SCP), HTTP, HTTPS Web Services, Secure WebDAV, Secure XLM Transfer, and SSL-encrypted TCP sockets
  • Technical specialized knowledge of encryption-related concepts, including, but not limited to algorithms, encipherment/decipherment, key lifecycle, key negotiation/exchange and digital signatures
  • High availability and load balancing configurations
  • Prior SSA Experience
