Embedded Software Engineer 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Embedded Software Engineerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals working toward ensuring our country's security. We want self-starters who will be part of a team of software professionals developing world-class software in a structured environment to meet our customer's high expectations. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, verification, sustainment and test support for our programs located in Charlottesville, VA.

The successful applicant will have skills in C#, embedded system design and development. Knowledge of modern software development environments, including Agile development using Atlassian tools is desirable.The selected engineer will work within a multi-disciplined product development team to develop software for maritime navigation systems.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE) or STEM related field and 2 or more years of software development experience
Object-oriented software development experience using C# in an embeddedsoftware environment on an agile team
US citizenship required, ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications: Active Secret clearance
Experience developing software for both Windows and Linux
Experience with the Agile methodology using the Atlassian tool set
Experience with UML/Model Based Engineering
Graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
