Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Electronics Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and other RF and electro optical and infrared sensing systems; communications, navigation and identification equipment and systems; computing, networking and storage components; and control and command equipment
  • Creation of detailed equipment requirements in Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems specification documents format for product procurement
  • Prepare NGAS procurement documents such as Price and Delivery Information Request (PDIR), Source Control Drawings (SCD) and Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW) in support of procurement processes
  • Creation of hardware test processes and procedures using Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems test procedure document guidelines and templates
  • Design of bench test cables and test tools in support of hardware bench testing
  • The support of hardware analysis as it pertains to product maintainability, reliability, safety and diminishing material sources
  • The creation of test procedures and processes in support of equipment qualification testing
  • The integration and test of Prime Mission Equipment hardware into laboratories and mission platforms

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of electronics engineering experience OR
  • Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated experience in electronic equipment and/or components in one or more of the following areas: Design, development, testing, repair, product support
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance
  • A current DoD Interim Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with RF and/or communication equipment systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
