Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is hiring an Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer 3/4 to support their growing team in Baltimore, MD or Bethpage, NY.

The candidate will be a member of the Multi-Function Systems Engineering team responsible for highly adaptive, software defined, hardware enabled systems which support multiple missions and domains (RADAR, EW, SIGINT, EO/IR, COMMs, IFF, etc). Candidate needs to be self-motivated systems thinker that is able to work as part of a team and present the program/company in a positive way to the customer and during any other government interaction. Candidate must have ability to work on multiple simultaneous tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Systems Documentation
  • Algorithm Development
  • In depth data Analysis
  • Requirements generation
  • Support Firmware, Integration and Test, and Software teams
  • Develop as mentee to Multi-Function Systems subject matter experts and technical leads
Performs technical planning, CONOPS development, system development, overall system design, requirements development, algorithm design, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. This position may be filled at a higher level based on the qualifications below:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer 3 are:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 5 Years or relevant experience; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
  • Must have an activeInterim Secret clearance or higher
Experience with one or more of the below topics:
  • Electronic Warfare or SIGINT experience
  • Embedded systems
  • Relevant experience in Algorithm development
  • Previous Matlab experience

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer 4 are:
  • 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
  • Must have an active Interim Secret clearance or higher
Experience with one or more of the below topics:
  • Electronic Warfare or SIGINT experience
  • Embedded systems
  • Relevant experience in Algorithm development
  • Previous Matlab experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP) - modeling and algorithm development
  • Digital and VHDL firmware design
  • Previous Analyst Experience
  • Strong Mathematical skills
  • RADAR experience
  • Passive Detection Systems experience
  • SCI Clearance
