Electronic Warfare Associate Software Engineer

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Electronic Warfare Associate Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

Essential Functions:
The qualified individual will perform to develop and integrate customized or standardized software and hardware for Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS). Interface with various customers, suppliers and engineering organizations to facilitate the integration of their products with Northrop Grumman developed applications.

  • Participate in the full lifecycle of software development to include
    • Requirements development, modeling and design
    • Data reduction and analysis
    • Performance modeling and evaluation
    • Unit, integration, and formal system testing
    • Interface regularly with supplier
    • Interface on occasion with the customer
  • Integration and test of operational flight programs in the various electronic warfare subsystems
  • Selected candidate will be mentored and guided in daily tasks by experienced engineers and will be part of an integrated product team working closely with other engineering disciplines to produce the electronic warfare subsystems and integration them into the air platforms

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meets its business standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Electronic Warfare systems
  • Familiarity with signal processings
  • Familiarity with MatLab
  • Familiarity with DOORS
  • Familiarity with Java
  • Familiarity with GUI development
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite with add-ons like Git, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Experience with the Agile software development process
  • Experience with Eclipse/Visual Studio or other integrated development environments (IDE)
