Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer interested in joining the Test Design Engineering Department . The candidate will be responsible for the hardware aspects of a System Bench Design. This includes, but is not limited to, the design and layout of power, control, cooling, and digital support for the System Test Bench. The responsibilities encompass all phases of design, including concept, detailed design development, documentation release, fabrication, integration, and support. The candidate will be a member of multi-disciplinary teams within and external to the test engineering department encompassing a wide variety of programs.

Typical Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design creative and flexible HW solutions with a motivated team of experts
    • HW Design Examples:
      • Electronic Circuit Design
      • RF Design
      • Power/Cooling Monitor and Control
      • Interface Panel Layouts and Interconnections
      • Console Design
    • SW/HW integration
    • Requirements verification
  • Actively support the investigation, resolution and documentation of product anomalies
  • Understanding Design to Cost
This position is a Dual Band Position. Candidates will be considered at both Levels3 and 4per the requirements listed below.

Basic Qualifications/Band 3:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
- Minimum education/experience- 5 years with Bachelors in Science; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD.
- Minimum of 3-6 years ofexperience in hardware design.
- Experience with (analog, power, digital) hardware Design.
- Experience in panel integrated design, cable design, and schematic layouts.
- Experience with lab test equipment such as DMM and O-Scopes
- Technical Leadership experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Active Secret Clearance.

-Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
- Minimum education/experience -9 years with Bachelors in Science;7 years with Masters;4 years with PhD.
- Minimum of 3-6 years ofexperience in hardware design.
- Experience with integrated (analog, power, digital) hardware Design.
- Experience in panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts.
- Experience with lab test equipment such as DMM and O-Scopes
- Technical Leadership experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Active Secret Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline
- Experience with schematic design tools (e.g., Zuken)
- Experience with hands-on troubleshooting with electrical hardware
- Experience with PLC/HMI Software (e.g., FT View Studio and/or RSLogix 5000)
- Experience with Fiber Optic Systems
- Active TS/SCI clearance
