Dynamics Test Technician (Mechanical Technician 3)

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Dynamics Test Technician, located in Redondo Beach, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Support vibration, acoustic, shock, modal, tap, and jitter testing.
  • Program and run vibration test computers
  • Install, calibrate and remove accelerometers
  • Setup and perform box, subsystem and multi-shaker level tests
  • Occasionally lead crew as Delegate Test Conductor
Basic Qualifications:
  • AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of related test lab experience, to include programming and running vibration test computers, installing, calibrating and removing accelerometers
  • Requires computer skills, mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience using basic tools (torque wrenches, drills, etc) and electronics fundamentals
  • Active SCI clearance
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms and lift equipment up to30lbs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years ofexperience working in adynamics test environment
  • Familiarity with modal, acoustic, vibe, and shock testing methodologies
  • Knowledge and/or experience workingin aerospace
  • Ability to take direction and followcompany procedures and processes
  • Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision.${descr2}${descr3}
