Director, Talent Acquisition - AS Sector

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead the AS sector's full cycle talent acquisition function.

The Talent Acquisition Director reports to the sector's HR Vice President and leads a team of 100 recruiters and recruiting assistants to develop and implement all aspects of the sector's hiring strategy, with a focus on building pipelines of specialized, clearable technical talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with HR VP, business leaders, and the talent acquisition and HR business partner teams to drive strategic sourcing, recruiting and hiring strategy. Oversee a team of 100 recruiters and recruiting assistants who are matrixed to the business lines. Assess the sector's talent acquisition process and organization. Build talent acquisition performance measurement system focused on operational excellence, hiring manager satisfaction and candidate experience. Assess TA talent; focus on relationship building and change management – to increase development and engagement. Partner with HR and organizational effectiveness teams to develop and implement an integrated talent development and succession strategy, including diversity strategy. Implement workforce planning in partnership with the operating units to understand short and long-term talent needs. Develop and implement innovative and cost-effective talent acquisition strategies. Build strategic and productive partnerships with the business and Human Resources.

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:

Excellent business acumen -Proven experience implementing a successful talent acquisition strategy that results in competitive advantage and accelerates business results -Demonstrated success leading broad organization changes within cost and schedule and achieving client expectations -Demonstrated success managing complex and competing organizational priorities in a fast-paced environment -Understanding of federal contracting requirements related to talent acquisition - Experience supporting organizations with high volume of quick turn, specialized technical talent needs; experience with recruitment of cleared talent preferred -Experience supporting high volume and varying sized business capture /proposal development efforts -Experience partnering with business to develop short and long-range workforce plans -Experience working with organizations with a global footprint -Strong leadership and collaboration; focused on organizational and team success –Courageous but compliant; taking risks in ideas and actions to progress the organization -Solution-oriented; proven focus on operational excellence and innovation -Ability to provide strategic thought leadership; build strong relationships with superiors, peers and subordinates; collaborate across the organization; and influence without direct authority -Comfortable challenging the status quo -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Unwavering ethics and values; trusted partner -Confident executive presence.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience in HR and talent acquisition.

5 years supervisory experience.

Demonstrated success in partnering with top leaders, leading change initiatives, and managing talent acquisition for a large organization.

Proven track record as a trusted advisor and partner with business leadership, along with demonstrated project management, analytical and process orientation skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret (TS) clearance.

Occasional travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Global talent acquisition experience; experience with talent acquisition in international locations and/or medium to large Federal contracting companies.

Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

Certifications relevant to Human Resources.

Current, active Top Secret clearance.
