Director, Systems Integration Test and Evaluation

The Test Site Executive and Contractor Flight Test Director leads a team of 9 managers and 226 Northrop Grumman exempt and non-exempt personnel, along with nearly 100 USAF personnel, from the following disciplines: T&E planning, Instrumentation, Data Management, Flight Test Operations, Systems Test Engineering, Air Vehicle Maintenance, Ground Test Operations, Test Management Support, Engineering Property, Quality, Product Support and Responsible Engineers. This Director will be responsible for the team achieving all test and evaluation technical, cost, and schedule performance goals at this site and any other flight test sites. Responsibilities include leadership of all Test Site activity, primary interface with the customer Responsible Test Organization, and the face of Northrop Grumman to all customer supporting organizations at the test site. This leadership includes constant coordination and interface with Test Center and Test Wing leadership, coordination with all Integrated Product Teams, and execution of day to day operations. Responsible for national assets worth over one Billion dollars. This position will implement and sustain a high performance culture that is fully integrated with customer personnel, and achieves a fully engaged workforce while ensuring the safety of precious equipment and personnel. He/she will lead his teams in solving some of the most complex T&E challenges in aviation. He/she will enhance customer satisfaction through timely communication and coordination at all program sites. He/she will provide timely resource forecasts to program and functional organizations and assure proper staffing is in place while maintaining an integrated schedule. This Director will drive process rigor across all disciplines to meet company, program and security requirements safely. This position is will be located at Edwards AFB CA, and should expect 25% travel

Basic Qualifications: BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent and 15 or more years of experience in flight test and aircraft operations. Minimum 4 years of leadership/management on a recent Department of Defense test program. Significant experience as a manager of a large (>100 person) test team. Experience using earned value management systems, and with highly integrated program schedules. The candidate must possess demonstrated excellent leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills. Active Secret Clearance within the last 6 years, and eligibility for Top Secret Clearance and SCI is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree; Program management experience; Experience with USAF T&E policies and procedures; Formal test training as from a recognized test pilot school; Experience working with and briefing senior military test leaders. Relocation Assistance is Available.
