Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Director of Global Supply Chain to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content in Palmdale for Strike Program. The GSCPM Director of Palmdale is responsible for the integration of GSC activities as they converge in Palmdale. This Director is the key program interface in Palmdale for GSC and is the right hand to the Operations Vice President.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content in Palmdale for Strike Program.
  • Responsible for the integration of GSC activities as they converge in Palmdale.
  • Key program interface in Palmdale for GSC and is the right hand to the Operations Vice President.
  • Ensures the material supply fully supports Global Operation needs and works with Operations and Program to ensure necessary lead time is planned for GSC to the maximum extent possible.
  • Will participate in Palmdale leadership meetings, be responsible to represent GSC at program status meetings and provide the GSC status.
  • Leads the GSC team across all GSC functions, ensures GSC priorities are aligned with the evolving needs of the program, ensure plans are in place to effectively manage our SOW, and ensure we close on GSC actions.
  • Works closely with Operations and Quality to identify any supplier quality issues on the floor and any areas where operations is having difficulty with compliant supplier parts.
  • Responds quickly as new material needs are identified.
  • Develops, integrates and provides visibility of GSC material status, reports into the program the Palmdale GSC status.
  • Responsible to lead process improvements, identify gaps and implements processes which will continue to enable improved performance.
  • Implement and manage a GSC Palmdale RIO (Risk, Issue and Opportunity) management process.
  • Communicate across the program and especially throughout GSC the Program process, challenges, priorities etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have 9 years of program management or global supply chain experience
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
  • An active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience with development programs.
  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Active SCI clearance
