Director of General Manufacturing 1 (2nd Shift)

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is currently seeking a Director of General Manufacturing to join our F-35 Team on 2nd Shift in Palmdale, CA!

This position leads the manufacturing efforts for F-35 center fuselage assembly, paint and delivery on 2nd Shift. This candidate will be responsible for direct, indirect budgets, and capital requirements. This position will manage and integrate product assembly and delivery into an effective high performance team in coordination with IPT leadership, functional management and shared services. This position also insures that the operations and facilities have the capabilities and resources required to meet current and future needs. This position requires and is responsible for on-time delivery of high quality products that meets all contractual requirements and business objectives. Responsible to maintain a clean and safe environment utilizing and improving established factory accountability processes. This position provides leadership that fosters motivation and communication. Responsible for the continuous improvement of people, products, processes, systems and services by utilizing common best practices, and other appropriate tools and techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a S.T.E.M. Field
  • 7 Years experience in aerospace manufacturing (preferably high rate)
  • Proven leadership experience leading large, multifunction teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is Required.

Note: This position is for 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous F-35 manufacturing experience
