Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Director, Strategic Analysis to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in either of the following locations:

Baltimore, MD -Rolling Meadows, IL - San Diego / Rancho Bernardo,CA - Woodland Hills, CA - Redondo Beach, CA - Melbourne, FL, or Apopka, FL

Reporting to the Land & Avionics C4ISR Division Senior Director, Strategy & Business Development, this position will lead the Land & Avionics C4ISR division's Strategic Data Analytics and Position to Win (PTW) teams within the Strategy & Business Development organization. Key responsibilities will include managing the integration of data analytics, portfolio analysis, market analysis, competitive analysis, price to win, and value proposition to support strategic positioning for the division's portfolio.

The individual will lead two functional teams that produce projects to frame, develop and deliver analyses and recommendations to meet the division's long term strategic goals. The Strategic Data Analytics team will provide assessments that will address portfolio risk, return on investment, and mission-cost effectiveness to strengthen product positioning across the LAC4ISR portfolio. The Position-to-Win (PTW), to include Competitive Assessment and Price to Win (CA/pTW), team will address capture and bid support by providing customer and competitor landscape analysis, leading Blackhats, developing funding analyses, competitor bid strategies, and proposal evaluation analyses.

The teams will work with stakeholders to understand key drivers to business success, develop options to optimize competitive position and enhance the probability of meeting the division's longer term goals.


  • Identify data-driven analyses to support strategy development for the LAC4ISR portfolio
  • Manage a team of data scientists/analysts and strategists to perform customer and market analysis, business case analyses, value propositions, customer/competitor landscape, and price to win
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, working with subject matter experts to conduct integrated market and cost-competitive assessments to support strategy development that optimizes division's competitive position.
  • Provide guidance in system design and integration cost analysis, predictive data analytics, and competitive business assessment.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science or Business degree.
  • A minimum of 8 years demonstrated direct or related experience in data analytics.
  • Experience in Long range Strategic Planning development processes and practices.
  • Experience in position to win (PTW) and competitive assessment practices, data sources and techniques.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters of Science or Business Degree.
  • Current DOD Secret or TS clearance
  • Working knowledge of Northrop Grumman products and services.
