Dimension Control Technician 3

Seeking highly motivated individuals that are willing to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment and supporting multiple programs. The candidates duties and responsibilities will entail the following, Lay out and fabricates and assembles a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving compound angels and complex contours where the establishment and coordination to exacting tolerances of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes are required. Plans work to be performed and determines methods and sequence of operations working from tool design drawings or own designs. Sets up and operates optical instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops and designs holding devices and jig and fixture details. Prepares operational sequences and shop drawings covering parts fabrication and assembly to be performed by others. Candidate will be required to operate heavy equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Candidate will work with direct supervision from written and verbal instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

Candidate will be required to maintain all the certifications required to ensure compliance, must maintain housekeeping.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must be able to work in and promote a team environment and promote a team paradigm.

Candidate must be able upload / download 3D models, as well as be proficient with 2D drawings.

Candidate must be able to work off of high ladders and portable platforms, perform heavy lifting, and capable of standing for long periods of time, candidate must be comfortable in providing direction to personnel and peers in the performance their day to day duties.

Candidate must possess good communication and email skills with the ability to document work performed or explain job delays.

Strong desire to work efficiently while working safely.

Experienced with the following Microsoft applications; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Candidate will be required to work or support any shift as well as overtime as necessary to support the product.

Preferred Qualifications:

Assembly tooling experience and Aircraft Structures training are desirable.

Experienced with Verisurf and LASER trackers, as well as CATIA V5

Experience with fabrication hand tools is a required along with experience with saws, drills, mills and lathe also being a plus.
