Digital Communications Representative

Join the Northrop Grumman Communications team and help drive the company's business objectives by implementing dynamic communications practices for digital communications, media support and special events. Contribute to internal and external communications initiatives; assist in writing announcements and articles; develop collateral materials and social media content.

Responsibilities include:

Developing digital communications and social media strategy and analysis

Driving communications processes and operations for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems

Establishing and managing meaningful communications measures that support the sector's business strategy and priorities

Working in partnership with Communications account managers and Corporate Communications to integrate and align practices and messaging to support strategic company events

Employing digital analytics reporting requirements to shape future strategy

Collaborating across the enterprise to ensure regular exchange of information to ensure fully integrated campaigns, support consistent messaging, share communications practices and support enterprise events

Maintaining brand strength and consistency

Prioritizing multiple long- and short-term projects

The ability to be on call during high-volume times and/or weekends

The ability to travel 25% of the time; travel includes intra-office within DC metro area, as well as other U.S. sites in support of the business

This is an ideal position for a high-energy, adventurous, self-motivated professional who is able to meet commitments and work effectively given tight deadlines, multiple tasks, shifting priorities and limited resources. This full-time position is located in McLean, Virginia, and reports to the manager of Digital Communications. Strong candidates in Linthicum, MD may be accepted.

This position may be filled at a Level 2 or a Level 3.

Basic Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEVEL 2
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in social media, digital communications, graphic design
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver)
Excellent organization, project management and time management skills
Strong decision making ability and attention to detail
Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate and gain consensus

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEVEL 3
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in social media, digital communications, graphic design
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver)
Excellent organization, project management and time management skills
Strong decision making ability and attention to detail
Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate and gain consensus

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing eye-catching materials for multifaceted events and placements
Knowledge of user experience methodologies
Knowledge of four-color production process
