Desktop Publisher - Part Time/On Call

Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to serve as a Part-Time/On-Call Desktop Publisher. This position is located in Albuquerque, NM., however telecommuting may be considered for the right candidate.

The selected candidate will provide desktop publishing for proposals, ensuring file configuration control, compliance with the RFP and clean final products.

Duties will include:

  1. Provide desktop publishing support for proposals and/or other marketing materials.

  2. Format and revise technical documents as marked by the editorial staff.

  3. Create document templates that are compliant with the current request for proposal.

  4. Evaluate font and other formatting options for page-limited proposals.

  5. Review requests for proposals and determine compliance needs from a document format perspective.

The selected candidate will support various proposals and potentially other documentation and/or marketing materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  2. Must possess a minimum of 10 years of direct relevant experience.

  3. Must be an expert in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

  4. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  5. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  6. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Acrobat

  7. Must have experience with Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint

  8. Must have excellent customer service skills.

  9. Must have demonstrated knowledge of file configuration management.

  10. Must have strong desktop publishing skills, including ability to build templates for proposal compliance.

  11. Demonstrated ability with required software and willingness to learn new software when necessary.

  12. Must have demonstrated ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.

  13. Must have good problem-solving skills for problems of moderate scope and complexity.

  14. Must have demonstrated ability to develop rapport with teammates and authors.

  15. Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  16. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. An Associate's or higher degree.

  2. Expert in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  3. Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat
