Candidate will function as a lead mechanical designer/checker as part of a team that designs submersible system and equipment arrangements. Responsible for leading a team of designers and draftspersons, prioritizing and delegating design work to meet program schedule requirements, verifying product quality and mentoring of lower classification designers and draftspersons. Preparing engineering composite drawings, detail, assembly, and installation drawings for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems conforming to specified requirements of the contract specifications, engineering design requirements, and regulatory bodies. Must also apply established manufacturing and fabrication methods to the design of systems to achieve designs within functional requirements in NX11 and Teamcenter A&D. Candidate must be familiar with Y14.100 drawing requirements, drafting standards, and GD&T tolerance application.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related S.T.E.M field, 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of degree
- 2+ years of relevant experience or 0 years with Masters or 6+ years experience without degree
- NX 11, Solid Works, CREO, Inventor or other 3D system.
- Teamcenter or other PDM system, Understanding of GD&T and level 2 and 3 drawing creation.
