Database Systems Engineer 2/3 (D&R)

The C-RAM C2 team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a D&R Database Systems Engineer based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

Systems Engineer to support the Forward Area Air Defense Command & Control Counter Rockets, Artillery, and (FAAD/C-RAM C2) program. Analyze, design and develop system/software requirements. Develop physics/mathematics based algorithms. Conduct peer reviews. Develop test cases for software and I&T to verify algorithms. Prepare technical papers and presentations for management and formal government reviews.
Candidates must work well with other engineers in a high pressure, schedule driven environment. Candidates must be able to quickly absorb, analyze and synthesize large amounts of technical data. Candidates will be able to multi-task as well as work independently.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2

  • 2 years of System Engineering experience with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 0 years of System Engineering experience with Masters
  • At least two years of experience developing software requirements for coordinate conversion and other mathematical algorithms

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3
  • 5 years of System Engineering experience with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 3 years of System Engineering experience with Masters; 0 Years with a PhD
  • At least two years of experience developing software requirements for coordinate conversion and other mathematical algorithms

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Prior experience with any army software command & control program
  • Familiarity with Magic Draw, System Modeling Language (SysML) or other system design tools
  • Familiarity with the Ada programming language
