Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Database Engineer 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Senior Database Engineer will be responsible for developing a new database architecture in order to provide an optimized, redundant, and distributed service to its users. DevOps experience is not required, but is desired. Government site position.


Basic Qualifications:
At least 12 years of experience as a Database Engineer that can provides technical expertise for distributed database design and development, information storage and retrieval, data flow and as well analyze user requirements to develop an appropriate data/database structure.
Experience with data modeling for physical as well as logical models
Experience with MySQL
MongoDB experience
Experience with creating a database in a distributed virtual environment using OpenStack.

Preferred Qualifications:
Automating configuration management and deployments using Puppet, Chef, Ansible and/or SALT.
Docker/Docker Swarm
DevOps experience

Bachelor's Degree in STEM field from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional Database Engineering experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
