We are seeking a Database Administrator in Seaside, California. The position will support the Personnel Security/Assurance (PSA) Division within the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). The Database Administrator will be responsible for working with the rest of the development team to offer the database perspective in implementing solutions that best meet the scalability and performance requirements of the products.

The Database Administrator will be developing scripts for database changes in various environments as well as data migration across the PSA application portfolio; will perform data quality support and offer solutions to resolve any issues. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders within DMDC and throughout the DoD.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Oracle 12c experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and responsibilities
  • Experience with database performance tuning
  • Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Strong communication skills
  • Active Top Secret clearance and Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant field of study
  • Java development experience.
  • Configuration Management experience
  • Experience working within the DMDC PSA division and understanding of the DMDC environment.
