Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is looking for a talented data scientist to join our Sector Analytics Team. This position provides the opportunity to discover emerging technologies and apply innovative approaches for data mining, predictive and prescriptive modeling, and user visualizations. The individual is expected to possess a variety of skills in programming languages and statistical analysis techniques coupled with curiosity and creativity to drive data-driven insight for optimizing enterprise operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of predictive and prescriptive models
  • Create data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies
  • Research, evaluate, and determine the best fit of analytical tools and techniques
  • Integrate and manage disparate and complex data sources
  • Enhance, scale, and automate analytics capabilities, models, and visualizations
  • Collaborate with external functional organizations for process, data, and system understanding
  • Communicate project status and findings to various levels of leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • · Pursuing a Masters degree from an accredited college/university in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering related discipline
  • Be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite).
