Data Management Analyst 2

The Data Management Analyst supports and guides the MCTP Operations Group (OG) military analysts and observer-coach/trainers (OC/T)'s and their leaders at US Army and Joint - Combined headquarters exercises as they define the data requirements for their After Action Reviews (AAR)'s and establish a collection plan for that data. The analyst carries out that data collection plan based on the individual's professional experience and established SOP's. Provides requested training and subject matter expertise on Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS)'s utilized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Assists Work cell Controllers with data retrieval and transfer from unit tactical data systems and assist with final "threads" testing to verify the accuracy of their digital picture.

2.Meets with OG Senior Analysts and OC/T Warfighter team leads regularly to get their updated requirements for data collection and the organization and analysis of that data.

3.Coordinates and provides training opportunities for OG military analysts, OC/T's, workstation controllers and military augmentees in the proper operation and use of AMCS's.

4.Builds digital data folder structures that facilitate sharing of desired collected information on collaborative shared drives and SharePoint portals.

5.Perform data mining and collection from training audience tactical portals and AMCS equipment as required during exercises.

6.Creates digital products at the request of OC/T's and OG military analysts to facilitate the training environment.

7.Sets-up and maintains proper AMCS resources to display the Common Operational Picture (COP) for the OG analysts and OC/T's and assists the Command Information Center operators in displaying the COP in their area.

8.Reviews with OG Senior Analysts and OC/T Warfighter team leads whether the data collection meets their benchmarks for organization and quality.

9.Makes adjustments and recommendations for best business practice guidelines as needed.

10.Reviews military correspondence on current and projected military hardware, software and tactics to maintain current knowledge of Joint and Army doctrine related to Mission Command (MC).

11.Provides assistance and instruction to OG military analysts and OC/T's on how data can be accessed and how and where it is stored and filed.

12.Provides "over the shoulder" training and instruction on their current AMCS specialty to military personnel augmentees and contractors fulfilling operator roles in work cells and response cells during exercises.

13.Provides ongoing sustainment training to OG military analysts and OC/T's on current MC systems utilized by the US Army.

14.Ensures that digital MC data collection is integrated into the MCTP AAR structure.

15.Researches and analyzes AMCS problems found during testing and exercises and identifies solutions and/or work around for them.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport, and a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited College with 3 years of relevant experience, additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Travel minimum of 50% and work extended shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Prior Military Service
  • Two years experience on battalion staff or higher or equivalent training organization.
  • Hold a DoD certificate of training for an Army Mission Command System such as CPOF or DCGS-A
