Cyber Systems Engineer Lead 5

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer Lead for our Schriever Air Force Base, CO location.

Senior technical leader responsible for coordinating all Cyber security activities and initiatives across the program and associated Northrop Grumman Business Unit. Works closely with the Government to develop concepts, roadmaps, and proposals for the long-term, strategic cyber security direction of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other customers. Inspires, develops, and integrates innovative cyber solutions to address our customers' most difficult cybersecurity challenges. Leverages cybersecurity experience, expertise, capabilities and resources from across Northrop Grumman and its teammates to address technical needs and gaps identified on the program. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware, software, and policy specifications. Will also work business strategy efforts focused on bringing new business and growth for the program and associated business unit in the area of cyber security. Develops advanced technological ideas, identifies solutions, and guides their development into a final product and/or integration onto the program. Serves as organizational spokesperson on advanced projects and programs. Acts as advisor to senior management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Navigates obstacles and works with all levels of management to facilitate the integration of cyber solutions on the program.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science with 14 years of Cyber security-related experience or Master's degree in Science with 12 years of Cyber security-related experience.
  • Proven mastery in senior-level leadership, advanced technical principles, theories and concepts relating to Cyber security.
  • Demonstrated competency in developing and communicating complex proposals to facilitate executive decision making.
  • Expertise in building teams, collaborating across the program, corporate reachback, and working with program teammates.
  • Ability to obtain cyber security certifications within 1 year of employment.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI required.
