Cyber Systems Engineer 4 - IBM/RES

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a System Integration Engineer experienced with RES/IBM IEM to support the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program in McLean, VA.

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Identify and document applicable legacy applications and associated interfaces that provide authoritative data during “As-Is” analysis
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Collaborate with teammates on process to install, configure, and/or customize tools, sensors, and ancillary equipment for specific
  • Validate that legacy applications have supported interfaces to a common solution and unique technical solution
  • Engage personnel supporting legacy application to establish interface testing timelines
  • Test integration prior to pilot rollout/full production
  • Identify any discrepancies in authoritative data format, freshness, and accuracy, and report to D/A stakeholder
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures, Implementation Architecture, and other artifacts to show linkages to legacy applications
  • Enable all data interfaces and launch of operational services

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a STEM discipline and nine (9) years of related experience.
  • 5 years of Windows server administration and architecture experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience with RES One Workspace including whitelisting, deployment and configuration
  • Strong experience with Windows server administration, preferably Server 2012, Active Directory, LDAP and DNS
  • Experience with database administration including installation, configuration, and optimization for MSSQL and/or MySQL
  • Experience with TCP/IP and networking fundamentals including firewalls
  • Strong Experience including hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, Knowledge of software engineering life cycle (SELC) and agile best practices
  • Strong communication, written and verbal skills
  • 3 years of IBM IEM/BigFix (Tivoli Endpoint Manager) administration and architecture experience
  • Strong experience with SQL administration and configuration in regards to IBM product backend support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework and DHS CDM Program and related products a plus RES One Workspace 2015, Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/8/10, Linux OS, VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Splunk, IBM BigFix and RSA Archer IBM BigFix deployment and integration experience with RES One Workspace Splunk integration experience with RES One Workspace
  • Active DHS Suitability Clearance
