Cyber Systems Engineer 3/4

Mission Systems is looking for a candidate to join the System Security Engineering organization. This team is responsible for Anti-Tamper and Information Assurance/Cybersecurity efforts. The candidate will be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration support, and verification and validation for System Security efforts deploying Anti- Tamper and/or Information Assurance techniques.
The candidate will be instrumental in completing efforts at all instances of the product development life cycle to include; concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Additionally, candidates may support internal research and development (R&D) efforts supporting cybersecurity. The system security systems engineer will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

MSBALTECM
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • B.S Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math with 5 years related work experience OR MS Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years related work experience)
  • Strong systems engineering knowledge
  • Understanding of statistical classifiers, deep neural networks or artificial intelligence
  • Experience with programming languages needed to implement data analytic techniques such as; C, C++, MATLAB, Python
  • Understating of state of the art data analytic techniques from academia and industry
  • Demonstrably good writing skills; ability to write final-version deliverable technical documents and reports
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Ability to travelCONUS and OCONUS(20% or less)

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
  • BS Degree in a STEM discipline and9 years related work experience OR MS Degree in a STEM discipline and7 years related work experience; PhD with 4 years of experience
  • Strong systems engineering knowledge
  • Experience making technical presentations to internal and/or external customers
  • Demonstrably good writing skills; ability to write final-version deliverable technical documents and reports
  • Experience programming in: C, C++, MATLAB, Python
  • Understanding of embedded class systems
  • Experience developing fault tolerant and or attack resistant systems
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Ability to travelCONUS and OCONUS(20% or less)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degrees in Engineering, Software, or Science
  • Experience with DoD customer programs
  • Experience transitioning products, physical and software from an R&D environment to a program
  • Experience with data measured off of physical and/or cyber systems
  • At least 3 years' experience making technical presentations to internal and external customers
