Northrop Grumman Cyber and Intel Systems is seeking an experienced Cyber Systems Engineer to join our highly dedicated team of Software, System and Test engineers. Northrop Grumman utilizes Innovation and Technology to deliver quality products to the warfighter and we need individuals willing to push the limits and discover new paths to success.

A Cyber Systems Engineer in our organization conducts multidisciplinary tasks and collaborates with system designers, developers, and and/or hardware engineers in the planning, deployment, upgrade and utilization of electronic data processing systems for products and commercial software/hardware and designs/develops utilities and automates system components.

Specific tasks might include, but are not limited to:
* Provision, deploy, and maintain data center commodity hardware
* Install and configure Linux and Windows platforms from the OS up to the custom-developed applications
* Develop installation scripts to automate the system installation
* Develop test plans/procedures for system installation verification
* Execute tests to verify system operation
* Work with software developers as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during system deployment and operation submit problem reports for errors found.
* Implement Information Assurance (IA) directives on the systems; run IA scans
* Coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members

This requisition can be filled at a higher level based on the requirements below.

MSSATX
Basic Qualifications level 2:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • BS degree in related field with 2+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years of related work experience can be substituted for the degree
Experience with:
  • Deploying complex applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
  • Linux and Windows system administration
  • Installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
  • Troubleshooting applications and system deployments

Basic Qualifications level 3:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • BS degree in related field with 5+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years of related work experience can be substituted for the degree
Experience with:
  • Deploying complex applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
  • Linux and Windows system administration
  • Installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
  • Troubleshooting applications and system deployments


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with:
  • Scripting languages (developing, debugging and maintaining)
  • Agile methodologies - Scrum, Jira, SAFe
  • DevOps Engineering (automation to reduce labor intensive tasks)
  • VMWare systems administration
  • VM Horizon View
  • Jira
  • Ansible
  • RHEL/CentOS
  • Python programming language
