Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator for a fast paced, growing, dynamic program supporting Air Forces customers and other government programs located in Las Vegas, Nevada but temporarily located in Orlando, FL for periodic training over 3 to 6 months. This position reports to the Department IT Manager and is responsible for System Administration, and supports Cybersecurity, and networking efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Perform updates and patching of computer system
- Configure, administer and maintain computer systems (Windows 8, SHB, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, Activate Directory)
- Configure, administer, and maintain patch deployment and management system
- Provide patch management status reporting to management
- Configure, monitor, maintain, and administer computer backup and recovery solution
- Provide backup and recovery status reporting to management
- Make recommendations for solutions to technical problems (e.g. product selection recommendations)
- Maintain and operate virtual environments for servers and workstations
- Write standard operating procedure documentation and develop system cold-start documentation
- Perform auditing as delegated by ISSO, ISSM, or equivalent following defined procedures

Education/Experience Qualifications for Level 2: Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters / an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement
Education/Experience Qualifications for Level 3: Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Year with Masters / an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement
Basic Qualifications for both Level 2 & 3:
- DoD 8570 qualifications for IAT Level 2 position (reference http://iase.disa.mil/iawip/Pages/iabaseline.aspx for list of qualified certifications)
- US Citizenship is required with an Active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Computer Network Defense (CND), Computer Network Attack (CNA) and/or Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) activities
- Experience Administering and maintaining Active Directory environments and group policy
- Experience with Administering and maintaining a Windows environment (Desktop and Server operating systems)
- Prior administration of virtualization environments using technologies such as Hyper-V, ESX, storage provisioning and networking of virtual systems
- Previous experience in administration of secure configuration managed systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory configuration and design strategies to include Group Policy, Certificate Services, and Forest/Domain trusts
- Excellent verbal communication skills and succinct writing style
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to train in Orlando, FL for 3 to 6 plus months
Preferred Qualifications for both Level 2 & 3:
- Previous experience in a modeling and simulation environment
- Rudimentary knowledge of networking (e.g. IP routing, switching, OSI layers)
- GOTS host based defense and vulnerability assessment experience (ACAS and McAfee ePO)
- SAN/NAS storage and SQL server knowledge
- Logging and Scanning tools (e.g. Splunk)
- Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization at network and server level (e.g. Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi, Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), VMWare VSphere, etc...)
- Previous experience with patch management solutions (e.g. Solarwinds Patch manager, Windows Server Update Services, System Center Configuration Manager)
