Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Software TestLead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD.

  • Responsibilities will include end-to-end testing of an agile software development project; responsible for working with the leads to coordinate and prioritize tasks via backlogs for sprint planning and setting schedules.
  • managing the planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities, tasks and completion.
  • The lead will work closely with the system engineering team, stakeholders to devise the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans. Thelead will need to be able to recognize when test automation is appropriate and, if it is, they plan the effort, select the tools, and ensure training of the team.
  • Work closely with the software developers and scrum masters. TheLead will be responsible to lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implement and execute the test cases, test procedures and test suites.
  • Ensure proper configuration management of the tests produced and traceability of the tests.
  • The lead will be responsible for execution and then monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
  • Works with the team to ensure builds and baselines reflect accurate versions of software related to test phases; evaluates COTS/GOTS solutions for alternative methods of testing.
  • Work will be performed in an agile development environment with 3-month spin cycles and 2 week sprints.
Basic Qualifications:
Fourteen (14) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required (experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is preferred)
  • Minimum 14 years in testing through a full system development life cycle including designing, developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test processes
  • Experience developing and enhancing test plans and procedures that define test strategies and coverage to include, development testing of system requirements, functional requirements
  • Experience in documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting and audits
  • Experience testing systems from existing system and functional specifications
  • Experience developing test cases and plans from requirements documentation
  • Experience using automated test tools
  • Experience with several of the following highly desired:
    • Performance / load / stress testing
    • Data interface and migration testing
    • User interface testing
    • Security testing
    • Code coverage tools
    • Systems integration testing

Security: Must have TS/SCI clearance with Full scope polygraph

Education: Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of T&E experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with XML, Java, database interface, LINUX system programming is highly desired.
  • Experience with Java, Java scripting, perl
  • Knowledge of GWT, GIT
  • Web Services - iBoss, Weblogic
  • Databases knowledge with Oracle, Mongo, MySQL a plus
