Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Senior Cyber Software Test Engineer 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Northern Virginia.

Description of Position:

The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end testing of an agile software development project; responsible for working with the leads to coordinate and prioritize tasks via backlogs for sprint planning and setting schedules. Works with the team to ensure builds and baselines reflect accurate versions of software related to test

phases; evaluates COTS/GOTS solutions for alternative methods of testing; and ensures all test documentation is produced in accordance with program standards. Candidate must be capable of working in a fast paced, agile environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: An active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline and 10 years' experience, or a Master's degree and 8 years' experience in testing through a full system development life cycle including designing, developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test processes is required. Four (4) years of T&E experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience developing and enhancing test strategies
  • Experience developing test cases and test procedures from requirements, development artifacts and stakeholders.
  • Experience in documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting and audits
  • Must be comfortable working in Windows and/or Linux/Unix
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Performance / load / stress testing
  • Data interface testing
  • Data migration testing
  • User interface testing
  • Security testing
  • Code coverage tools
  • Systems integration testing
  • Application server or OS setup and administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a bug tracking tool such as Rally, Bugzilla, Trac, Jira, Redmine
  • Experience working as a software engineer on a product development team
  • Experience performing software programing such as Java, C or scripting languages (such as Python or Perl)
  • Experience in the use and development of automated test tools
  • TS/SC with a Polygraph clearance.
