Cyber Software Engineer 3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking Cyber Software Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX The Northrop Grumman office in San Antonio has responsibility for full lifecycle engineering of the Cyber Mission Platform
including analysis, design, development, test, integration, and maintenance. Northrop Grumman provides this DOD enterprise platform with a robust service oriented architecture, high assurance cross domain solutions, and an integrated
modular application providing a consistent user interface to enable full spectrum cyber operations. This web application is developed in the Python-based Django framework using an Agile methodology. Anticipated tasks include the design, development, documentation, test and debugging of software and systems. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine platform user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; troubleshoot and rapidly correct defects in operational instances; design and develop utility programs and automate system components. Ensures software
standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 5
years' experience OR Masters Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical
Engineering with 3 years of experience. 4 additional years of experience and or education can be substituted for the
Bachelors degree.
- Experience developing highly complex applications
- Interim Secret clearance or higher
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

Preferred Qualifications:

- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Familiarity with Linux operating environments, particularly RHEL/CentOS variants
- Distributed processing and design patterns
- Computer networking, protocols, and layers
- Operating systems internals and computer organization
- Python development
- Django framework
- DevOps and automation experience
- JIRA or Rally agile management tools
- One or more DOD 8570-compliant certifications such as Security+, CASP, or CISSP
- One or more technical certifications such as CCNA, CEH, or ASEP
