The Cyber Architect 5 role will be located in McLean, VA.

Position Description:

  • Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Cyber Architect to join the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Team.
  • The CDM program is a DHS-managed approach to fortifying the cybersecurity of government networks and systems.
  • CDM provides federal departments and agencies with capabilities and tools that identify cybersecurity risks on an ongoing basis, prioritize these risks based upon potential impacts, and enable cybersecurity personnel to mitigate the most significant problems first.
  • The Cyber Architect will oversee the technical planning, installation, configuration, integration and/or customization of cyber security tools, sensors, and ancillary equipment on-site at departments and agencies in the Washington, DC area.
  • This individual will provide day-to-day direction and oversight to a team of roughly twenty engineers in a matrix management environment.

Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with a minimum of14 years' experience required.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance required. In addition, selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
  • Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification.
  • Excellent domain knowledge of cyber security COTS tools, governance, best practices and enterprise-wide solution implementations.
  • At least 14 years of experience developing cyber security solutions across a diverse and heterogeneous IT environment, including the following: Technical leadership in Enterprise Architecture (EA), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and IT Service Delivery to U.S. Government agencies. Demonstrated experience in security solution design using existing and emerging technologies to achieve enterprise solutions. Experience managing cyber architecture teams to design and deploy complex federal solutions.
  • At least 6 years of experience working with Security Authorization requirements, developing and enhancing the security risk posture, and analysis and reporting of IT security metrics, including assessment of information assurance and interoperability.
  • At least 8 years of technical and management experience implementing IT security projects in complex and heterogeneous environments, including the following: At least 4 years of recent experience in security policy and emerging cyber security technologies. At least 6 years leading multi-organizational and matrixed technical resources and teams. At least 6 years of experience managing technical integration and solution delivery projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience with the following products and product suites in an enterprise deployment: IBM BigFix, Tenable, McAfee, Splunk and RSA Archer.
