Cross Domain Solutions Security Engineer

Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking Cross Domain Solutions support Engineer for the Cross for the Enterprise Networked Services (ENSS) Support Project in Fairfax, VA. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and cross domain solution subject matter expertise. Successful candidate with become an integrated part to the ENSS CDS Support Team to design, develop, implement, test, secure, and support CSDs for multiple classified networks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure Cross Domain system operation in accordance with Customer’s policies/requirements
  • Maintain Approval To Operate for the Cross Domain Systems
  • Work to increase security & reduce risk for the DHS CDS
  • Ensure security personnel and data transfer reviewers are trained
  • Respond to security incidents for the CDS, provide root cause analysis, and provide incident reports
  • Review security & audit logs to ensure proper use of the guards
  • Monitor CDS systems to maintain security posture
  • Ensure the Process Monitors are operating as designed
  • Ensure Audit Archives are current and properly processed
  • Support the periodic re-accreditation of existing systems and accreditation of new systems
  • Perform and check Audit Log Archiving
  • Implement Policy Changes
  • Ensure backups are completed successfully
  • Attend and provide security/technical support to the Info Sharing Risk Mgmt. Committee

Basic Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • 8 to 10 years of experience supporting the security following types CDS Components:
  • ISSE Guard and related components: IPS (ISSE Proxy Server), STAR (Secure Trusted Automated Routing) Application
  • High Speed Guard (video and schema guard)
  • MLDBR (Multi Level Database Replication ) Guard
  • OASIS (PL5) Guard
  • Experience with successful accreditation DHS CDS systems
  • Ability to serve as a back-up for CDS system administrators
  • Ability to support occasional travel (<10%)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with DHS classified and unclassified networks
  • Knowledge of networks supported by the ENNS project
