The Missile Defense & Protective Systems Division of Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation has an opportunity for a Senior level Contracts professional to support the operations in the Integrated Fires & Protective Systems Business Unit located in Huntsville, AL, with specific focus on a significant international PolandFMS program. The successful candidate will possess leadership qualities, global perspective and be able to provide independent, responsible advice and counsel on a wide range of contractual and business issues under minimal supervision and perform in all matters involving the interpretation and application of company contracting policies and procedures. This global portfolio comprises high visibility captures and programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of a complex global portfolio from the business development phase through closeout, delivering customer satisfaction, building customer relationships and timely responses to both external and internal customers. Demonstrating experience with a global outlook and cultural awareness is key. Assessing situations and making appropriate recommendations and/or taking appropriate actions is critical for the successful candidate. Responsibility for prioritizing tasks/proposal activities including undefinitized contract actions and working on multiple tasks simultaneously is paramount. Serve as key business advisor and contractual focal point to the program manager on contractual and operational matters. Planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a moderately complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates and financial goals as well as ensuring that contractual risks are identified and mitigated with appropriate contract provisions. Successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, will seek requisite management guidance as necessary, providing day to day guidance to the in country mid level Contracts representative and will report directly to the Operating Unit Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for building customer intimacy despite any geographical separation as well as be able to effectively cultivate those relationships early on. The candidate will serve as a spokesperson on behalf of the organization in matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives. The candidate must be able to provide innovative solutions to external and internal customers on a regular basis in a fast paced environment. Negotiating skillfully in difficult situations, producing sound international contract terms and conditions, teaming agreements, contract amendments/modifications, which are expected to mitigate/minimize company risks for moderately complex contracts. Responsibility includes being able to make decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines and pressure, offers guidance and work collaboratively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, global supply chain, global mobility office and security for seamless contract administration. The successful senior level candidate must demonstrate superb communication skills through presentation, e-mail or written correspondence. The ability to take lead of various tasks utilizing critical thinking and problem solving skills will be critical to the role.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degreewith 15 years of experience in Contract administration or related field or Master'sdegreewith 13 year of experience in Contractadministration or related field. Knowledge of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) a must. Ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships. Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills. The ability to obtainor maintain asecret clearance.
