Continuous Improvement Lead Engineer 5- Baltimore, MD

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead Engineer 5 located in Baltimore, MD.

The PEC&A team provides "Process Excellence" capabilities across the Mission Systems sector to support program performance and achieve First-Time-Quality. Is committed to unmatched expertise in the core areas of process development, QMS compliance, continuous improvement, and predictive analytics.

Manages a healthy pipeline of integrated, multi-disciplined continuous improvement projects, tools and solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead our Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean implementation activities to support Mission Systems Sector programs.

Implementing lean initiatives, applying Six Sigma Principles and tools, performing root cause analysis and corrective action analysis, and leading organizations continuous improvement activities.

Define improvement projects and implement continuous improvement programs and initiatives aligned with business strategies.

Facilitate and coach improvement teams and be capable of solving complex technical problems utilizing DMAIC or related problem solving methodologies.

Establishes and measure key metrics to assess program success and conduct appropriate training to prepare CI teams for successful outcomes.

Works with executives and providing executive level briefings.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in STEM/related technical field.

14 years of related experience in one of more of the following areas: Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Contracts or equivalent.

Experience with Minitab or equivalent.

Six-Sigma Black-Belt/Lean Manufacturing experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS or MS in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering.

Six Sigma Master Black-Belt Certified.

Experience working across multiple domains or industries.

Active current Secret Clearance.
