Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Analyst Section Manager based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get to Do:
The candidate selected will have a dual role: ~20% of full time will be as a functional manager (section manager) supporting ~20 NGMS employees who perform support across Mission Systems programs, and ~80% of full time as a lead within the Resource Control Sub-Project. This group provides resource control/software configuration management expertise for two major restricted Northrop Grumman Mission Systems programs. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sub-Project Manager with cost/schedule for the overall area and management of the SWCM group overseeing multiple baselines. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing/leading efforts performed in the unclassified Annex environment. The candidate should be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical contributor or manager in a program role
  • Functional oversight for a team of software engineers, systems engineers, and/or software configuration analysts
  • Staffing and workload forecast; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs.
  • Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, performance management and contract maintenance for contractors working in the business area as required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technical, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 10 years related experience
  • Knowledge of full-lifecycle software, documentation, and all aspects of Configuration Management including planning, identification, control, status accounting, reporting, and auditing in a process driven environment
  • Support program management in configuration control by developing, interpreting and implementing configuration management procedures in accordance with company procedures and Government standards
  • Management Experience
  • Current DoDTop Secret security Clearance required with the ability to obtain SCI access

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience controlling and base-lining COTS products integrated into the software environment.
  • Experience controlling and base-lining virtual environments.
  • Experience with Linux scripting
  • SCI Clearance Preferred
  • Master's in a STEM discipline
