Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Configuration Analyst Level 3 positionto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Dayton, Ohio (Wright-Patterson AFB).

Essential Functions:

  • The Configuration Analyst will participate in the full range of Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM), actions required for individual program systems,in accordance withgoverning DoD, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, Directorate, Division, and Branch-level directives, policies, and guidance. Assist with performing a wide range of configuration and data management tasks related to the development, production and support of various weapon systems and items of equipment acquired by the Government.
  • Assures that identified data is consistent with the DIDs, Statement of Work (SOW), and program direction. In coordination with other organizational personnel, determines contractor compliance with the data requirements; and resolves deficiencies in data submittals. Ensures all DIDs utilized on the program are valid data item descriptions from the Acquisition Streamlining and Standardization Information System (ASSIST).
  • Participates in the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process for assigned systems/programs. Maintains and controls relevant documentation for changes in the process; ensures timely processing of changes by all members; ensures proper accomplishment and dissemination of the CCB Directives; assists with the CCB agenda/minutes; and supports the CCB chairperson as required.
  • Evaluates Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Deviations (RFDs), Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) for adequacy, completeness and compliance with directives. Interprets and integrates comments, e.g., technical, financial, contractual, etc., resulting from review of a proposed. change. Provides a unified Air Force position/recommendation.
  • Must be knowledgeable of configuration/data management input requirements for program plans, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), and RFPs.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor™s Degree from accredited College or University
  • At least 6 years of experience in a Aerospace environment (or 4 years with a Master's degree).
  • Must have an active/current DOD Secret clearance (or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance prior to start)
  • Able to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result
  • Able to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Configuration/Data Management and Change Management processes to include; government and DoD policy, directives, standards, handbooks, pamphlets relating to configuration/data management.
  • Ability to interface effectively with Air Force personnel, associate Contractors, and other Air Force / Government agencies, participate in reviews and other meetings as required by the Government, and prepare presentation material as required.
