Configuration Analyst 3



Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Configuration Analyst 3 in the Engineering, Science & Technology (ES&T) Central Region Engineering, Orlando Site.

In the Mission Systems sector, you'll join our experts in developing systems and solutions that keep our world safe. The qualified applicant will work in our Orlando, Florida office, headquarters for the Secure Network Operations (SNO) unit.

The CM Analyst 3 will coordinate hardware and software CM tasks for the program. He/she will be the single point of contact for all matters pertaining to configuration management including the following:
a. Implement and maintain the CM program
b. Prepare contractor data items (e.g. RFVs and ECPs)
c. Administer CCB operations and establishment of CCB procedures
d. Prepare configuration identification and status accounting reports
e. Support design reviews, inspections and audits including the establishment of CM materials appropriate for each
f. Manage the processing of engineering changes through the approval cycle and the release of implementing engineering documents
g. Execute a configuration audit program
h. Direct reconciliation of final verification discrepancies
i. Coordinate Integrated Process/Product Team activities
j. Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased COTS software products
k. Maintain and administer version control systems using Software Configuration Management Tools (e.g. Git)
l. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable
m. Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use
n. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards
o. Work with Subcontract Manager to ensure that subcontract configuration requirements are being accomplished
p. Provide oversight of subcontractor CM process execution

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of Configuration Management experience OR Master's Degree and 4 years CM experience / an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement
• Experience implementing EIA-649 or MIL-STD-973
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with GIT (or similar Software Configuration Management tool)
• US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certificate in CMII or CMPIC Certification
• Proficiency implementing EIA-649 or MIL-STD-973
• 5 years' experience with GIT (or similar Software Configuration Management tool)
• Experience overseeing subcontractor CM organizations
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems
• Previous experience with Agile Development
• SATCOM experience
• Distributed Mission Operations experience
