Job Description

Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates system design. Maintains control of software and hardware change implementations and coordinated changes with applicable personnel to ensure proper utilization of CPU resources, channel I/O completion, peripheral devices, Direct Access Storage Device (DASD), and network environments. Provides network and computer problem resolution to support improved user satisfaction in reliability, availability, and cost of service. Develop and maintain software development plans, test plans, and schedules. Analyze operational, hardware and software problems and coordinate resolutions with systems engineering and vendor technical support.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 9 years of applied experience with a Bachelors in Science in an Information Systems discipline.
  • Experiencewith Microsoft Server Offerings and SQL Server database objects
  • Experience with LAN and Network hardware support
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development
  • Experience withCITRIX and data product distribution/back up
  • Experience with configuration management
  • Understanding of FIPS 140 criteria and implementation experience
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance
  • Must be able to attain and maintain CompTIA Security+ Certification within six months of accepting an offer of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with Microsoft Server and SQL Server Support
  • 5 years experience with LAN and Network hardware support
  • 3 years experience with Microsoft SharePoint development
  • 3years experience with CITRIX and data product distribution/back up
