Computer Systems Analyst 3

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Computer Systems Security Analyst to join our team in defining the future. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Information Technology auditor to join our team of qualified, diverse audit staff. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology Solutions team supporting multiple software development activities and several highly visible programs managed within the Aerospace Systems Sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IT Auditor is responsible for performing audits in accordance with internal policies and practces outline in the security plan. Ensure audits are conducted within Audit areas, often include but are not limited to network security, security-relevant changes, hardware, software, manual/automated logs, media, and upgrades, logical access reviews, physical access reviews, firewall and other network device reviews. Assist in formulating audit objectives and scope of work in the form of an audit program. Assist in design, development and implementation of manual and automated audit methods and techniques to improve auditor productivity. Assist in audit oversight, planning and training, including providing technical support and advice to other less experienced auditors. Detect and characterize significant anomalies or discrepancies; identify root cause and provide recommendations for corrective and preventative actions. Organize work to deliver high quality results on time. 6 years related experience related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Ability to plan, perform, and report on audits utilizing a risk-based approach. Ability to work independently, on multiple projects. Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms.

Security Certifications: CISSP or, SSCP, CAP. GCIA or Security or within 6 months or onboarding. Must be able to work well within a team environment and able to adapt quickly to change.


Basic Qualifications:

1.Three to 5 years computer security experience.

2.Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree.

  1. Must have at least 5 years applicable work experience with Windows / Linux / Unix Systems Administration.

  2. Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

  3. Must have working knowledge of NISPOM (Chapter 8) and/or DCID 6/3-ICD 503 information system requirements.

  4. Must have experience with System Logging and Auditing.

  5. Must have experience with Classified processing environments and procedures.

  6. Must have experience with Windows and Unix Operating Systems.

  7. Must have knowledge of switches, routers, and storage area networks.

  8. Must be able to obtain DoD 8570 Certification: CISSP or, SSCP, CAP. GCIA or Security or within 6 months or onboarding.

  9. Must be able to work well within a team environment and able to adapt quickly to change.

  10. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with C&A process DoD 8570 Certification (e.g. Security , CEH, or CISSP).

  2. Experience with Networks and networking concepts.

  3. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks.

  4. Understanding of internal auditing standards and risk assessment practices.

  5. TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Poly.
