Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Computer Operations Analyst 1 based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Candidate will occupy a highly-visible position with direct input into problem resolution and enterprise maintenance processes.
  • Functions as the primary interface to operations for real-time detection, isolation and resolution of system issues.
  • May coordinate maintenance activities across a multi-location enterprise.
    • This involves interfacing with users, engineers and customers to determine the best course of action.
  • May be responsible for coordinating, scheduling and executing preventative maintenance activities.
  • May perform system backups which include backing up applications, software and operating systems.
  • Basic system administrative duties may include modifications to authorized user lists and user profiles, file system maintenance and security hardening and testing.
  • System Maintainers also create Downtime Report (DR) documentation and create standard operating procedures for system restoration.
  • Frequent collaboration with other maintenance groups is required.
  • Provides necessary mentorship, guidance and training to new maintainers.
  • Occasional call-in support may be required.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science with 0 years of basic Linux/UNIX command level knowledge that can be applied to troubleshooting and maintaining systems operability; AA/AS Degree with2 years; or4 years of relevant experience in a lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Active TS/SCI access ORabilityto obtain and hold a TS/SCI access prior to first day of employment.
  • Adjudicated Polygraph (within 7 years) OR willingto submit and obtain an adjudicated Polygraph prior to first day of employment.
  • Requires good communication skills for effective and accurate exchange of information across a multi-location enterprise, with customer visibility into crew based actions and response.
  • At a minimum a current DoD 8570 IAT level 1 approved certification or the ability to obtain an IAT level 1 certification.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active TS/SCI access with adjudicated Polygraph (within 7 years)
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT level 1 approved certification
  • Intermediate UNIX/Linux command level knowledge that can be applied to troubleshooting and maintaining systems operability.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Management Systems to include HP OpenView and CA based Concord.
