Cloud Systems Administrator

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate that has experience as a systems administrator for large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters and a strong background in troubleshooting operational system issues as they arise for a position at Laurel, MD. A Cloud Administrator certification is required.
At least two (2) years experience in the implementation and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks, including those composed of CISCO and UNIX or LINUX-based hardware platforms, to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements.
At least two (2) years experience managing and monitoring large Hadoop clusters
Demonstrated the ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Accumulo
At least two (2) years experience implementing network solutions for complex, high performance systems composed of UNIX or LINUX-based hardware platforms.
Hadoop/Cloud Systems Administrator Certification
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional Systems Administrator or Cloud Administrator experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with FS polygraph is required.
Required - Demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
Demonstrated knowledge of analytical needs and requirements, query syntax, data flows, and traffic manipulation.
