Cloud Solutions System Engineer 2/3

Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Cloud Solutions System Engineer. This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.

The Systems Engineer will support our high tech program at Fort Bragg, NC.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Design, deploy, or manage applications on Microsoft Azure Web Services supporting our customer at Ft Bragg, NC.

  2. Build and manage solutions as necessary to support the development, transition, and O&M of a set of services into the Microsoft cloud.

  3. Will be required to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and demonstrate that you can effectively design and manage application infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a System Engineer 2 are:

  1. Bachelor's degree with minimum of 2 years' experience or 6 years in lieu of degree.

Basic Qualifications for a level 3 are:

  1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience or 9 years' experience in lieu of degree

Additional basic requirements:

  1. Two or more years of experience in transitioning systems to cloud environments, developing solutions for Microsoft cloud, and/or managing operating systems on cloud infrastructures

  2. Experience designing and building web sites using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.

  3. Must possess a Current Secret Clearance.

  4. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Microsoft Certified Solution Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator

  2. Experience with Agile scrum methodology, DevOps, and associated development tools

  3. Experience with Linux OS, virtualization, scripting, and Python

  4. Familiar with network communications

  5. Familiar with large storage systems

  6. Contributes substantive content to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's on-line offerings.

  7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills.
