Cloud Engineer (SME)

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's ITSS contract providing support to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Roles and Responsibilities:
Support our government client in creating secure AWS deployments and innovative cloud solutions.
Interact regular with DoJ customers as well as NG senior architects
Be a subject matter expert and evangelize the latest technologies and tools to provide better efficiency and solution to other teams
Administer a cloud environment such as Azure or AWS
Design and execute security architecture blueprints and bring it to reality with a DevSecOps mindset & culture.
Build and configure build plans, code pipelines and create automated solutions that can be frame worked and re-used.
Configure AWS services and Splunk to ingest AWS log data, and write glueware (Python, etc.) to handle ingest and process AWS log data and AWS configuration data.
Provide keystroke level documentation of NG's recommended AWS logging and configuration data integration approach to the customer which will be used by DoJ components.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM or cyberdiscipline and 10 years' experience.
2 years' experience with Public Cloud architecture such as Azure or AWS.
5 years' experience with Security Architecture, NIST 800-53 security controls preparing A&A system documentation.
Experience with DISA STIG configuration requirements
Ability to administer a cloud environment such as Azure or AWS.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
12 Years' experience and a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology or Cyber Security
Programming in either PowerShell, Python or JSON
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (CSA), Developer or System Administrator
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
Experience with DISA STIG configuration requirements
Experience with Department of Justice information systems.
Experience with the use of the DOJ CSAM application.
Active Top Secret Clearance
