Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Capture Manager / Business Development Representative to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Richmond, VA and reports directly to the Site Director/Program Director. The selected applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) team.
Position Summary / Responsibilities: Leads capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with marketing.

Identifies and implements business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies, or services. Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of product development. Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinates with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
Responsibilities also include planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract.
The successful candidate will develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories. Demonstrates skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation.
Additionally, the representative will develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.
Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated with considerable latitude for independent judgment.
Serves as a prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a current Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain it
- Education / Experience: 15 Years with Bachelors; 13 Years with Masters
- 5 Years of Capture Management / Business Development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimally two to five years of SAP experience
- Have a working knowledge and/or experience with the US Army
- GCSS-Army Domain knowledge
