Calibration Technician (2)- Woodland Hills, CA

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Calibration Technician (2) at our Woodland Hills, California location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards for GPS systems.

Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.

Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.

Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.

Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Communicates with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside the organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.

MAQEA

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma required.

Physical and Dimensional Metrology Calibration experience.

Minimum of three (3) year of related work experience.

Experience reading blueprints.

Knowledge of SPC and/or other control procedures.

Experienced in utilizing, maintaining and repairing test equipment as needed.

Demonstrated experience in one or more of these areas: electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type working with various measuring instruments.

Preferred Qualifications:

AA or two (2) year technical degree.

EMX and Surecal calibration programs
